There are times when each of us needs the care of another person. Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation, and in our community. Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who express God’s care through their lives to others; receive 50 hours of initial training in important caring ministry skills and concepts; are commissioned as Stephen Ministers after completing their initial training; visit another person regularly and dependably and offer Christian support and care; participate in regular support and supervision under the guidance of trained Stephen leaders; are committed to preserving the confidential nature of the caring relationship; serve for at least two years; receive continuing education and skill building throughout their years of service. Upon completion of the training program, our Stephen Ministers work together with our pastors to provide emotional and spiritual support to people going through difficult times.

The Meals Ministry exists to provide love and care for others by making and delivering meals when they have illness or a family crisis. We will provide meals for families dealing with illness or hospitalization, or death. Families should be FUMC members, and the notifications must be made by an FUMC member. Submit the family through the Lead or Associate pastors. Please include family names and contact information, number of family members, any special diet needs, best days or times for meal delivery, your contact information. Meals Ministry is also seeking volunteers to prepare and deliver meals. Contact the church office for more information.
One way we get ready for worship on Sunday is making sure the Sanctuary is ready. If you have free time during the week to stock the pews, pick up any loose papers and straighten the hymnals, this is the job for you! Contact Gayle Lorenz at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the schedule.
