October 11-16, 2015 (6 days, Sunday-Friday)
Henderson Settlement is a long-term UM mission in the Redbird Missionary Conference. Incomes are very low in the area, but the people are rich in culture and caring. The team stays in dorm housing or a small house on the campus of the settlement and eats in the cafeteria that serves staff and volunteers. Our team is split for both a construction-type project and a less strenuous project. We accommodate all ages, skill, and energy levels. The cost is shared by the church’s short term missions fund and individual participants.. Contact Betsy Draper for more information.
July 16-23, 2016
On July 16-23, 2016, Fairfax Church will travel to Costa Rica to serve the people of the Central Valley through Strong Missions http://www.strongmissions.com/index.html. This is our first international and intergenerational trip and we are anxious to meet amazing people to be a real impact in the lives of the families we serve. This trip helps us live out our church’s mission to Love God, Build Disciples, Connect Believers and Serve Neighbors. The total cost of the trip per person is approximately $1,800 and we have reserved 35 spots. This includes our travel costs and the cost of supplies for the projects we perform. The trip is open to our Senior High youth and all church participants, age 18 and over. For more information, contact Marty Draper at firstname.lastname@example.org (adults) or
Jay Campbell at email@example.com (youth).
