Paths of Faith offers exciting new learning experiences that prepare us to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, to understand our world and reach out in shared ministry. Each semester is offered over a 10 week period on Tuesday nights from 7:00 - 8:30, with multiple options. Participants may choose to register for a two week session or an eight-week session or three multi-week options or the combination of your choice!

Sign up today for your choice of classes. Multiple week and single session opportunities for adult Christian education are available. The next series includes;

(1) February 2nd and 9th - The Dude Abides, Part 1
Movies are a powerful tool to express the depths of human emotion and ethical issues in our world. The Oscarwinning Coen Brothers ask questions, from the meaning of life to the fundamental nature of truth and love, in quirky and offbeat ways. We will explore these issues in depth in four of their movies that have become classics. Part 1 includes Raising Arizona, and Fargo.
SSign up now for Part 1 and watch for Part 2 coming soon!

(2) February 16 - March 9 - Praying Our Way Through Lent with the Psalms
The Book of Psalms offers us a “school of prayer” that expresses every human emotion in our relationship with God - praise, anger, thanksgiving, despair, joy, and reflection. The Psalms remind us that faith includes struggle and doubt as well as gratitude and celebration. Jesus quoted more often from the Psalms than any other biblical book. What better way to accompany Jesus to the Cross in this Lenten season than to study and pray these psalms that he knew so well. In four sessions, we will look together at hymns, wisdom psalms, laments, and thanksgivings (with the help of some video clips and music) and, hopefully, expand our understanding of prayer to embrace the totality of life.

(3) February 9 - Faces of Faith: Frederick Buechner

Frederick Buechner, a leading religious thinker, discusses his hopes and beliefs in a relaxed and informal setting through this 25 minute DVD interview. Rev. Bray will guide the discussion following the interview.
